Big Data’s role in Competitive Insurgency

A real career highlight to me will be getting a student Kenneth Buker to present with me at Game Developer's Conference in 2016. When I heard he was using R to help balance games and find cheaters in the video game Insurgency (over one million copies sold on Steam) I knew the conference would be interested in what he was doing. I worked with Kenneth on refining his data analysis and visualization and structuring the presentation.

I have a long history with the Game Developer's Conference, I was one of the first Conference Associates in the mid 1990's when the event was 2,500 people or less and primarily about PC gaming. This was the third time I have attended as a presenter.
